I Am - Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

I am the sweetness of honey from the bee
I am the fragrance from the magnolia tree
I am the soil beneath your feet lending
The strength upon which you are depending

I am the heart that loves passionately
I am the ear the listening compassionately
I am the hand of diligence tending fields
As days darken and blister…I am your shield
