My eyes were wide open
Babe, when I brushed off your shadow
In my dark room
I had the thrill and the chill, and my limbs
Have vibrated as if the earth
Was flickering subtly.
Your perfume was on my pillows
Your silent voice was whistling
And disturbing the peace
Which existed in my thoughts
Your spirit was, with me, present
Yes, I touched your shadow by accident.

What an interesting concept, to brush off a shadow! As the poetess said, you have a great imagination! Thanks for posting.
The expression of this poem is so enchanting. It would be better to have the juxtaposition of the original poem by J'ai Effleure Ton Ombre. Thank you both and congratulations for being chosen this poem as the member poem of POD.

I have read this poem in French, it sounds more beautiful! Ta voix calme siffla Et a perturbé la paix Il existait au creux de mon esprit Tes pensées étaient avec moi Oui, j'ai accidentellement touché ton ombre.
