I Can Do Love Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

I Can Do Love

Too familiar with truth,
To become separated from that bond.
Could I do marriage again,
With a role play to do without end?
No!
But I can do love.
With no pretentions to begin.

And devoted to it,
Would not be questioned.
A chemistry would ensure,
The endurance of honesty...
Shared between two would never confuse.

Too familiar with truth,
To become separated from that bond.
Could I do marriage again,
With a role play to do without end?
No!
But I can do love.
With no pretentions to begin.

A love that is true can not be divorced.
