I Can Only Grin Poem by Darwin Henry Beuning

I Can Only Grin

Rating: 5.0

We, Human Beings are a funny lot,
Always wanting more.
What we have is never enough.

It is madness!
Like Dogs and Cats,
Chasing our own tails.

For many,
Seeking Face Time
On YouTube, TV, and such.

We must realize
In the end we are ALL just
Peas in a Pod

When you grow up poor, it's natural to want more!

I think it is natural to always want more, and it's how you deal with those desires that matters. So often I have to say 'no' to something I want badly. You Tube, Face Time, and TV are obvious attractions, more so to younger people, I find. My i-Phone has Face Time, but I have not yet worked it out to actually use it. I could get Apps, but not so far. However, I would not put down smartphones.

You can't stop human greed. The more you give them the more they need. There is no end to their greed. Even though they lose peace of mind accumulating things they never stop. Nice poem on the subject. Loved it. Thanks for sharing.

You are very right. Human desires are unlimited and every human being always tries to fulfill his desires at each step. This poem is very interestingly and brilliantly penned. We grin after reading this. Like Peas in a Pod we finally grin. This poem gives amazing sensation to the readers.10
