I Dislike You To Be Still - Poem by Valentina Fan
You are a good listener,
Always to be.
Aurora polaris' pulsing,
You are listening to me.
You listened quietly,
While my stories' teling,
While my bitter complaining,
While my tears' lasting a long long century.
You listened my balderdash of hallucination,
My abracadabra of trepidation,
My days of withering tea-leaves,
My watch hand pricking dawn dreams.
You listened my hair flows,
My shoulder quivers,
My stomach wrings,
My heart twinges.
Like the air around me,
Too good a listener are you.
As if I sang to a dim dark valley
Which would never echo.
But how can I say,
I do not like you,
I do not like you to be still.
