I didn’t get a Valentine and yet I thought I didn’t care
About such a hyped-up, silly day where men are fools
And women, with hands on their hips,
Have unrealistic expectations from men
A Valentine is not about the historic figure, candy, flowers, full moon
It’s about the notion that I AM being thought of
Even a romantic email would suffice in a pinch, or a yucky eCard
Though the spam from opening may cause Cupid to frown
The reality that I am not being thought of means
You will not be entering my orifices or my heart ever again since
It’s a hyped-up, silly day where men are fools, and
I thought I wouldn’t care that I didn’t get a Valentine
But
I DO
