I don't know if the sun will rise
For me tomorrow or not
Don't know if the soft wind
Will lift tufts of my grey hair
When I come out for walk or not
Don't know if you will be
There waiting for me to put
The bunch of white flowers in
Your long tresses or not
I don't know if the clouds will
Visit my land to pour sparkling
Rain drops in to my garden or not
Don't know if dew drops will hang
On to leaves and reflect colors or not
Don't know if my feet will take me
To the side of the stream where you
Wait for me sitting in the sands or not
But I will go on living
Like a new born drawing every bit
Of essence of the earth time releases
For me even after size of my body is
Marked in the soil, under the a tree
The uncertainties of tomorrow, but we must keep on hoping and living. Beautiful. Please kindly check my poems HOPE and THE BEAUTY OF DEATH. Kingsley Egbukole
