When I feel gloomy
I draw a picture
Simply sketchy
If I am happy
I draw another picture
Paint it with colours
Once you guess the colours
I would send you little stars
like my naughty dimples
But you turn away
I continue to draw, to paint
til' you, look back again
Wonderful poem, you've managed to draw something brilliant with your words.
I like your flirtatious write. Here in the U.S. if something is sketchy...it's considered not completely 'above board' or not really OK to be doing. Is that what you meant. Or did you mean a simple sketch? Just curious. I actually like the 'simply sketchy.' it has a nice ring to it. The third stanza is very playful and fun. The final stanza...leaves me wondering. What is the relationship of the object in the poem to the speaker and to the art? Like this one.
Pemela, I described a kind of mood with the sketch or colorful drawing.Thank you for your interest in my little piece. I appreciated it.
This is a very gentle poem expressing the longing for love inn which the lonely person fills her time of waiting with the making of art. She is also by this creative endeavor making herself ready for love. She is developing talents which will make life enjoyable. And it makes the time waiting productive. When that person compatible with her appears, he will be stunned by her talent. And they can mover forward from that common ground.

A nice relation of colour and mood indeed. Thanks.
