I Love Me Some Cherries Poem by Dawn Novus

I Love Me Some Cherries

Rating: 5.0

Oh you are sweet cherry to me
Oh how tangled this web is weaved
For I love and I love sweet cherries
Set before God
Its your name I call and I treasure on cherry ChapStick lips
My love, see...
Why is it so hazy for you
Its clear as the sunshine
That powers these wings to fly
Your love chartered beautiful sky

Hmm? This is my 2nd or 3rd fav of yours- so I say-please keep up your writings. They are inspiring, fun, light hearted and soul-filled...and who, I ask you? , other than one person, apparently, doesn't like them some cherries! ! ! Lolo! (ps. I like your Peter Pan poem the best so far!) Thanks for your personality, grammar, etc...Gio M

Midnight, hmmm…some ESL errors here that detract from the poem (leaving out articles, misspelling its) . Maybe start reading good contemporary poets in English? Your writing won't improve until you study some good examples, poets like AI or Mary Oliver or Donald Hall... if you have time, check out my new website: jeffersoncarterverse.com Tell me how you like it. Thanks. Yrs, JC
