I'M Never Going To Be On Tv Poem by Paula Glynn

I'M Never Going To Be On Tv

Rating: 4.0

Trust me when I say I'm never going to be on TV,
I won't be starring in that film,
Or host that gameshow,
I won't be going on the X-Factor,
And getting booed off stage,
I shall never be in photos that never age.
I shall enjoy my anonymity,
And be happy as a free person,
Away from the dazzling lights of the media,
And those false hyped up people,
That mean nothing to me.
I shall enjoy my life and live for me,
Because this person is free,
Not drowning in some intrusive pool,
Where fake women writhe,
And are overdone with makeup,
I just don't need the hassle of fake boobs,
And a nose job that achieves nothing.
Maybe they like their lives that way,
But I don't, because I live in my world,
A world I have designed and don't suffer in,
I just enjoy my freedom to wake with the sun,
And look after number one,
And live my life for me: not some camera.
Do what you wish, but I stand alone,
This world my precious home,
That no one shall steal with their magazines,
For I never accept fools gold.

Yeh, I'll go along with that. Self confidence is good for the soul.
