I'M Trying To



my pets run away from me
searching their whereabouts
summer gives them freedom
to wander; to go with friends
worried they won't come back
before darkness cover tracks

i wish i have put lo-jacks on
it fell off on their wandering
become deaf to my calling
i brush off sadness quest
a light for me; other's jest
am trying to before i rest
