I Never War (Wore) Poem by G J Salgado

I Never War (Wore)

Rating: 5.0

Sound like a bird when I sing
Never wore a wedding ring
If I did it never meant anything
Come here and I'll tell you something
I've got a little story to tell
It's one you won't know that well
It used to be something beautiful
Something you can't bottle up and sell
When I came my pockets were empty
My head's full it has plenty
I won't be anyone's fool
When I left my pockets were full
There's a war inside my soul
Every time I've almost came to the end
Each time I almost destroy myself
I've risen to become a new beginning
I'll reach the end and begin again even if I have to alone
This earth is just a stepping stone
I won't let them demolish me
I'm a soldier to all that I have seen
I will fight this war with everything I have
I escaped and was born because I fell through the cracks
There was never a perfect time for me to be born or to die
I'm the perfect balance of good and evil
The war continues deep within my soul
You can never be too good or too evil
I have seen the perfect evil; the kind that the taste of it is so sweet it burns off your tongue
So I told the story of it and what you've done
You'll never get enough of the taste of it even if it's burning off your tongue
You won't know me I've already come too far
But your children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren will live to know what I'll become
I am the only one
Because I've already won
I may be broken but not fully torn
I knew it before the day I was born
It's like the wedding ring I never wore
You brought on and won the battle but I'm still the war
In the middle of the war you dragged me through the dirt
I have all the wounds but it didn't even hurt
After the war I took you and I cleaned your blood off the walls and off of me
It bled through to me, bloodstained; but the blood was clean

Gots me torn
Now it's my turn
Let this trash burn
I tried to warn ya
Like the Diamond I never wore
Counting mine like Capone
Hitting it like Malone
Looking like Monroe
It's nothing you've seen in town
Riding with the top down
Cruising till I can't see yet
I got you in my GPS
I have no debt
I'm not breaking a sweat
Cannot wait to see you wet
When I get there I'm gonna jump in the pool
Rolling with my buddies fool
I'll catch up with you
Get to know all about you
Write it and smear the walls out
Even if it's the last thing I ever write about

Sound like a bird when I sing
Never wore a wedding ring
If I did it never meant anything
Come here and I'll tell you something
I've got a little story to tell
It's one you won't know that well
It used to be something beautiful
Something you can't bottle up and sell
When I came my pockets were empty
My head's full it has plenty
I won't be anyone's fool
When I left my pockets were full

Being inferior isn't my fetish
Funny how white peeps get all the credit
Are we done with this yet
You're not superior don't you get it
Hop in the car with me where you wanna go
I'll love you from here to Mexico
Take a cruise to Acapulco
Make Brazil our new home
Look at the view in this Paradise
Waste high in our ecstasy
You look like a Mexican Chrisley
Dripping wet in ice
Leaving them all cold
I'm not weak I'm bold
Not listening to the lies about me you told
We're gonna disappear from the lies you see
We're gonna end up in Italy
Traveling with my mex Bo
Bring us the stars that make us glow
When I dance I make sure I can back it up
Eat my words then I choke
I swallow my own lyrics
You haven't even made it there yet
When you rap you sound like a dork
You just talk your way through the spokes
You think you're funny with dumb jokes
Are you gonna try to eat this pork
I don't think you have a big enough fork
So nerdy with that little spork
Gots me torn
Now it's my turn
Let this trash burn
I tried to warn ya
Like the Diamond I never wore

Sound like a bird when I sing
Never wore a wedding ring
If I did it never meant anything
Come here and I'll tell you something
I've got a little story to tell
It's one you won't know that well
It used to be something beautiful
Something you can't bottle up and sell
When I came my pockets were empty
My head's full it has plenty
I won't be anyone's fool
When I left my pockets were full
Gots me torn
Now it's my turn
Let this trash burn
I tried to warn ya
Like the Diamond I never wore
Counting mine like Capone
Hitting it like Malone
Looking like Monroe
It's nothing you've seen in town
Riding with the top down
Cruising till I can't see yet
I got you in my GPS
I have no debt
I'm not breaking a sweat
Cannot wait to see you wet
When I get there I'm gonna jump in the pool
Rolling with my buddies fool
I'll catch up with you
Get to know all about you
Write it and smear the walls out
Even if it's the last thing I ever write about

When I came my pockets were empty
My head's full it has plenty
I won't be anyone's fool
When I left my pockets were full
Counted it all just like Capone
Hit it so many times just like Malone
From now on I always look just like Monroe
Onto the next scene
I'm the first, next and last best thing
I'm like nothing you've ever seen
Had me torn
Took my turn
I let the trash burn
I already warned ya
Like the Diamonds I never even wore
I'm all caught up with you
Now that I know all about you
I wrote it and smeared the walls out
It's the last thing I ever wrote about
