I Once Voted All Red Poem by Randy McClave

I Once Voted All Red

I once had voted all red
Then I was knocked hard in the head,
Then when I was awakened
My rights and my so called entitlements were taken.

I saw racists and bigots everywhere
I thought for sure that I was having a nightmare,
People were murdered in churches, and a synagogue
"Where came"? I thought this evil mind controlling fog.
The wealthy were then becoming greedier
For more riches and possessions they became needier,
Then when our deficit couldn't balance anymore
They blamed it all on the needy, and the poor.

In February and November when I go out to vote
"I Stand Against Hate, Racism, Bigotry, Greed" is my quote,
Now, I will only vote all blue
For myself, and my country, and you.
