I Plucked You Poem by Gary Hembree

I Plucked You

Rating: 3.8

I came across you in a field of flowers
You stood stronger then all the others
Colors so vibrant one could go mad
So I plucked you from your life giver
Held you in a small glass for days
Near a window for you to see
The great life I took from you
As you slowly grew weak
I fed you
When your colors grew dull
I ignored you
Even though I loved you
I subconsciously killed you
Its in our nature to destroy
Sleep now tiny flower
Ill weep until I pluck other
