I see him
In the dawn and
In the dusk
Coming down the stairs
To pluck flowers
For his many gods
To feed the pigeons
Rice and wheat grains
To smile at the old woman
Almost his age
Over the leafy fence
I see him caressing neck
Of street dogs and
Feed them with stale bread
Scolding them for
Barking at the jumping calves
And sweeping dead leaves
Into a corner of the garden
I saw him being taken away
Like a child sleeping in peace
To his last journey
By kins and neighbors
I see him walking down
The stairs for many days
As dawn breaks in the east
And sun goes down
In the west
