As I sit and stare
At the empty air
I reach for you
And you aren't there

I know we've never met
But you I can't forget
I see you wherever my eyes roam
And wish just once you came home

A voice I heard sing to me
A tone I can not let free
The song you sang to me still plays
I know in this life come what may

Were we not meant to be
I think of you and hope you think of me
I sense you close in my heart
And now I fear a love can part
