I Taste The Water Poem by ANDREW BLAKEMORE

I Taste The Water

Rating: 5.0

I taste the water from the stream
That flows from mountains high,
I breathe the air so clear and pure
And gaze towards the sky,
I view the scenery beyond
Surrounding far and wide,
A place where I can find myself
And feelings deep inside.

Of love and all it has to give
For it's residing here,
I reach towards the golden sun
With nothing left to fear,
I watch the clouds all sailing by
Upon the winds that blow,
And wonder where they're heading to
What secrets they will show.

Yet here I know that freedom lives
Its voice is calling me,
As it now leads forever on
To sweet serenity,
I walk along the rocky path
That winds from mountains high,
As now the evening starts to fall
Within the amber sky.

What a wonderful picture you paint, Andrew. I can almost taste the water and smell to fresh clean air. Thanks, I love it. Richard
