I've Drunk I've Drank I Drink Poem by Kewayne Wadley

I've Drunk I've Drank I Drink

She's my double shot of whiskey
When she's around she splits my lips
& gives me things to think about.
Sometimes I drink until I am drunk
It all starts with a simple thought.
Her body fluid in motion.
I've drunk before I started drinking
& drunk plenty before I met her.
She's my double shot of whiskey
Made of all the things I cannot say.
Those brown eyes half full to the middle
of her glasses.
Forever blind until she lets me try them on.
I've drank until everything around me spins,
I've drank until I could feel nothing else
inside me but her
She's my double shot of whiskey
the very first splash my tongue
drowns everlasting in

I like this...use of the words drunk, drank and dtink. So cleverly constructed and most interesting...I'll drink to that! ! !
