I'Ve Got A Smile On My Mind Poem by Amanda Lukas

I've got a smile on my mind today
and I guess it's peeking through a bit.
I'm not thinking of his fingers running across my shoulders
or the way his arms felt as he wrapped me in them.
No thought of a goodnight kiss or staring into puppy dog eyes.

I'm certainly not thinking about that horrid movie
we watched together (even though he let me pick it!)
or how we talked so much that the movie seemed not to exist.

I'm simply thinking of a smile today
and happy I could be the one to put it on his face.
