I Will Write You
Last night
When I was in my sleepy realm,
The great shadow asked me,
'When will you write me? '
I answered,
'I will write you tomorrow
When the bright sun will shine, '
Being extremely pleased,
The eminent shadow said to me,
'I will sleep with great peace and serenity tonight.'

I like the fertile ambiguity of 'WRITE YOU.' It could mean 'I will write a letter to you.' It could also mean 'I will write something about you.' Either way, the shadow calls to the poet.
