I Wish Poem by mikayla carpenter

I Wish

I wish that I could get something that will last,
not some fling, not something fun,
something to last a lifetime.

I now hate that I love you,
But I can't help it,
for me, it's natural,
and theres nothing you can do to stop it.
No matter how hard you try.

I'll leave you alone.
I won't bug, I won't be a pest,
I'll just.... Be there, if you ever need me.
Which I hope, will soon be,
Everyday of your life.

Hi Mikayla, you are a very talented poet, also I too write from life experience. this poem is probably how I felt before I left my husband, I won't go into details but I now have a happy life, and after thinking that I too would always just 'wish' I got my wish, and he is wonderful, Don't wish your life away honey...you have so many years in front of you (I know things are very hard for you) but you have had strength this far.....don't give up on a happy future Mandi: -)
