If Every... - Poem by Eric Cockrell

if every stranger
we meet today,
with hand outstretched,

could be God...
how would that change
the way we think and act?

if every word we spoke
were our last words...
what would we say differently?

and if this moment
that we're living now
were our last moment

on earth...
would we be doing
what we're doing?
