If I Poem by Fiona Davidson

If I

If I fall will you pick me up,
or watch as I crash to earth?
If I dance will you join me,
or sit back to watch the waltz?
If I cry will you hold me tight,
or will you walk the other way?
If I laugh will you join me,
or stand and frown my way?
If I stay here static will you too,
or am I on my own here again?

Your wish is my command. Shall we dance? Your words bring life to your desires.

I read the comments by the others, and I didn't see one say they actually felt the sadness and pain in these lines. Being there still I can feel that sadness and pain. This is a very emotional poem and the questions are what I have been asking most of my life. A 10+++++ and thank you for sharing. Love & hugs, Barbara
