If I Could Get Away (Inspired By A Question From Is It Poetry) (C) 6-29-09

While messaging Poemhunter veteran Is It Poetry he said this to me 'I have been trying to write a couple of words that some younger peoples might like..
what do u and your friends talk about that you would do if you could...?
but you cant because of the price you would pay if you slipped and got....? ... fill in the blank...' So I return the in saying

…Slipped and got away with it
I’d play with with it
and lay with it
then my conscience would eat at me
and forever make me stay with it
I’d pray with it
Hunt prey with it
Make bets and lose then be caught
in a fray with it
Have nothing to say with it
Many people I’d slay with it
Live my life in security
And have a nice day with
Probably delay with it
Go through May with it
Kick back turn on my music
and listen to Em and Dre with it
set my warriors array with it
Walk down the path of defeat
And then I’d walk astray with it
Go on a rampage then remember
I need to allay with it
Forget my mind and then
In my blood I’d lay with it
All cause I wanted to play with it
And I slipped and got away with it
And then sadly
I’d never see another day with it
So next time I think of something that could be fun
I’ll switch it up and change it from being a gun
