I can't go a day without your face in my mind.
Those ever-smiling eyes burn into me uncontrollably
and I admit I envy your undying positivity.
Your sunshine could brighten a tornado's skies.

I dream of you constantly,
and the last time I slept was contently encapsuled in your arms.

I think I'll never lose the longing for the tickle
of your steady, sleeping breath on my half-covered shoulder
and always knowing that you're smiling
without ever opening my eyes.
