If Ruth were a flower,
I'd care for her each day.
I'd water and fertilize her,
and keep the pests away.
I'd give her all the sunshine
a flowering beauty needs,
and when winter cometh,
I'd be sure to collect the seeds.
Because Ruth is a winner
in every flower or poem show,
and we could use more like her
to help our low spirits to glow.

there's a flower movement in visual art, too, Bri, as a counter to the troubled but inspiring human world, which adherents don't want to know.
i just added to my poet's note that cometh is a nice archaic word, a form of the verb come. bri :) i don't use it in my 'normal' speech. of course, my wife doesn't think MY speech is normal. [for some reason i spelled speech speach both times, before being yelled at by the computer. why isn't each spelled eech? ? ? ]
