If You Lie You Fly That's It Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

If You Lie You Fly That's It

My rule...
To sustain everlasting happiness.

If you lie you fly that's it!
Your wings here with me will be clipped!
With changed locks as evidence...
I have had enough of your moods.
Nonsense.
And your shifts!

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

I know you would like to jump on the bandwagon of the many 'critics' of negativity here at Poemhunter.com However...never have I said your poetry was stinky. If I thought it, I would not comment. I am too busy enjoying the craft of poetry as a writer. Not a hater. And I do have an appreciation for the younger generation. It is refreshing to know their minds are fertile. Unlike the stagnation that takes place in a fixed and sometimes aging mind! And I am sure you comprehend my comments.
