If You Love Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

If You Love

If you love...
Gone would be a need to be evil.
With a power of love no one deceives.
If you love with love to love.

If you love...
You would know it to feel.
Not to fear it.
If you love...
Close and near,
You would want it to be.
And if you love...
People know this to notice,
A power they can not defeat.
Or keep one on knees,
Until it ceases to keep.
Evil unknown to love can not beat.
Or believe love to end,
Is a doing permanently.
A love to love with love to give,
Is all there is to know love lives.

If you love...
People evil can not beat it.
Deceive or leave it weakened.
And if you love...
With it to feel to know it real.
Attempting to hide it is hard to deny,
For those who live love to give love,
Done to do and not try!

If you love...
Gone would be a need to be evil.
Even if taught to teach to believe kept learned.
Evil unknown to love can not beat it.
Or perceive it destroyed...
By a deceiving done to defeat it.

Love is to love is to love is to love.
Love is to love is to love!

Love is to love is to love is to love.
Love is to love is to LOVE!
