Explaining away the obvious.
Which has its obvious origins,
Rooted in historic guilt.
And smothered insecurities.
Can not possibly be but is...
Culprits finding attempts meant,
To excuse and present their innocence...
Of lies to boldly tell them.
With deceptions to follow.
And hollow apologies to give,
Expecting the ones victimized...
Overnight mend quickly.
Like the Sun when dawning,
To quickly rise upon the horizon.
Allowing what is the obvious,
A passport to continue to be...
Ignored as if an entitlement.
Given permission to justify or not,
A feeling of an obligation...
To at least pretend to be aware,
Of being conscious.
Made to make that an obvious entitlement.
Done to do from Sunrise until it sets!

Excellent poem, those who deem them self entitled are usually less deserving those who do not.
