Immobilized Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Immobilized

And...
After the devastating effects,
Of coronavirus goes.
With a pandemic.
Causing death.
To drop emotions to depths.
That had left many people rushing,
To receive experimental vaccines.
Creating newly developed industries.
For those suffering mental disorders.
And a variety of other health isuues,
Never before seen.

Although the people are elated.
Since for them it had been,
The health of the economy.
And this priority has returned,
A 'normalcy' beyond their wildest dreams.
Supported and injected,
By an assortment of vaccines.
Conveniently intravenously.

Immobilized drifting away from reality,
They lay and stay.
Yet when asked,
Which truth to live they rather prefer?
Many remain laying too blissful.
Leaving others to complain,
Their 'wildest' dreams...
Keep being interrupted.
By new commercials for vaccines.
Offering 3-D effects.
Not on the market yet.

"Doc?
I want to volunteer,
For the latest vaccine.
The one that offers,
Breathtaking 3-D effects.
When can I get that? "

-Soon!
Real soon.
It's still in development.
However...
The good news is,
We have improved upon the goggles.
And the high definition,
To add more clarity.
You will not believe,
Those special effects.
And...
We are hoping takes your breath away.-
