Imminent Is The Danger Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Imminent Is The Danger

Imminent is the danger.
Too implicit to identity.
Or qualify it yet,
As an immediate threat.
However...
To avoid the risk,
Of what does not now exist...
It is better to be proactive.
With practiced fears to prepare for this.
And convincing those who listen,
It is better to delude what is yet not true.
Than to sit and await for threats.
And not be prepared,
For an emerging urgency.
To protect against fears to suspect them.
