Myangel Twaño

Impromptu - Poem by Myangel Twaño

I was lying on my floor
trying to deprive myself from your memories
but your face keeps on flashing on my mind
and I end up dreaming...
so I hid myself under my bed
and laugh at this craziness I'm doing
as crazy as my feelings for you
but I end up with your smile
tickling the very soul of my heart...
finally, I Locked myself inside my closet
in hopes that I may forget you with this darkness
and your presence will be banished from my mind.
I did not see your face
or picture the sweetness in your smile
and I thought I fin'lly forgot you
and I thought I already could
but I was wrong
because I end up writing this poem
and this poem is all for you
for the memory of your beauty
and for a love that is always true.
