In Heaven, Color Does Not Matter Poem by Hebert Logerie

In Heaven, Color Does Not Matter

Rating: 4.4

In Heaven, color does not matter;
There, there is no money, no color,
No hypocrisy, no quandary, no beauty,
No nepotism, no size and no celebrity.

On earth inequality reigns,
When it pours, it rains,
When it rains, it pours;
Different weather patterns
Warrant different types of doors
And different types of lanterns.

In Heaven, these are not necessary,
The temperature varies very often,
Every holy minute and divine second,
Keeping counts will be silly and crazy.

Believe me, there is no limousine
For earthly and mundane stars;
Everything under the screen
Shall become dust, including fancy cars.

In Heaven, color does not matter,
There, everybody is equal;
There is no king, no corporal,
No corrupt judge and no criminal lawyer.

In Heaven, one single iota matters: the soul,
Which always flies like a wingless writer.
Spirit has no color, no smell,
No shape, no life and no propeller.

Death is certainly a great equalizer. You pen your Truth about the present inequitable social condition with feisty passion. love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

The description of heaven, in contrast to the dirty world we live in, by describing the soul, which are dotted with missing characters, make this poem to be nondescriptive.The time is divine, divine is exactly the second, which becomes eternal and gives to this allegorical poem its necessary density.I think that this conceptual metaphor ''Every holy minute and divine second'' is the ''key '' expression of the poem.a little 10 for a great poem.

Differences are there as a fact of life. Yet differences allow us to create harmony and that is heaven.

Really a good reminder of who we really are and what we are. No difference among us really. You and I are the same no matter what. Good point Hebert. We need more writers like you! ! ! Good luck! And All the best Jona

I just wish there was no heaven. Perhaps then, all that it is believed to happen there happens on earth. It is not worthwhile to suffer for a future guaranteed by a belief, not fact. Life is about here and now!
