In Most Cities Poem by Kewayne Wadley

In Most Cities

In her heart is a city
that stays open passed the normal limit
of most.
In a lot of ways I feel privileged yet
nervous.
In most cities there is always something
going on.
Most cities close at a certain time with
at least one or two places you can go.
But here,
I love the fact that there is always a corner
you can disappear to.
Away from the bright lights
Where the rest of the world doesn't know
exists.
In her heart is a city I can always disappear to
regardless the time of day
