In Silence Poem by Mamta Agarwal

In Silence

Rating: 5.0

Our eyes met,
You held my hand
And gently
Tenderly
Pushed away a strand
From my forehead.

I blushed
And felt the blood rush
To my cheeks.
I couldn’t speak,
Slowly
You
Pulled me to your chest
And we embraced.

I could feel my heartbeat race.
Your silence
Was eloquent.
I felt
The high tide
Come riding at the beach,

We were completely drenched,
Couldn’t care less.
The sand shifted
From under our feet.
As the tide receded
It left some sea shells,
We later picked.

A silence couldn't be Any more valuable than this. Dream or a reality Its a bliss that pulls all. One and all crave for this silence But only a few pick those shells. Just wonderful read. Thank you.
