In The Clouds Poem by DEEPAK KUMAR PATTANAYAK

In The Clouds

Rating: 5.0

In the clouds
- - - - - - - - -
Blue is the sky
From east to west
Happy and swift
Is the dawn riding in
Leaving behind
The waning moon
Lonely and forlorn
And winds sleepily
Caressing the meadow,
Trees and valley
The air smelling sweet
And taking the morning mist
You pray and sit
Meditating on Him
For strength and peace
To sail through the day
Yet in the stillness of your soul
There creeps in a melancholy
Dislodging the serenity
And shattering the dreams
Over the thought of a last grief………

The image drawn of a pleasant serene morn is lovely! Even as we sit in prayerful meditation asking for strength to scale through the challenges the new day is going to present, there can be disturbing thoughts caused by the memory of a past grief! Human mind is so tantalizing that it flits from grief to joy and from joy to grief! Sweet poem!

Beautiful poem. I loved the flow of words...The message is very true. Even in the midst of happiness, sad memories never leave us. It comes back to us unknowingly or knowingly. In fact one couldn't enjoy even the small happy moment, this fact you have beautifully conveyed through this poem. I loved reading it. Thank you Sir, for the lovely comments for my poems and for the wishes...Thanks a lot.
