Incapable Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Incapable

Incapable.
Of dissecting information.
Accessible.
And readily available.
Incapable.
Of separating fact from fiction.
Or beliefs to perceive,
Delusion to keep it.
Has nothing to do with reality.
Incapable.
Of self-examination.
To end their quest to uncover facts.
Or why it is,
Terrifying acts return more horrifying.
As if latched upon their backs.
With more, not less, evil to leave.
Although told repeatedly,
A mirror to use has benefits.
If one looks closely.
And deeper to see,
Beyond their glossed over vanities.
