Inner Nature Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Lines of light shimmering, rippling, skimming across
the top of the water.

Darkness covers the rest of the lake, hiding it's eyes
behind a blanket of black.

Scattered throughout the view, ducks slide in and out
of the small lines of light, making them able to be
seen.

Quiet peace has settled upon the entire lake and
atmosphere which surrounds it.

Hiding within, gentleness stirs and plays music of
nature, known only to the inner nature of a poet.
