Innings Poem by Jaishree Nair

Innings

Opening the door of another innings,
into the second twenties I step,
Smiling at the fine lines of years,
I splash my canvas of life with colours,
Eyes dreamy, forgetting the blur of time,
My pen overflows with the ink of my emotions..
The moon is as romantic as ever,
The sun has not lost its warmth,
The stars still shine in my eyes,
Into the second twenties I tread!
Reliving backwards to the count down of total oblivion! !
Nothing changed, Nothing to change
All just an interplay of Time's Tide
