It would have been different...
If you had not unlocked my heart
with your honeyed words
of endearments declaring eternal love!

It would have been different...
If you had not touched my soul
with your promises
of laying the world in my lap!

It would have been different...
If you had not stolen my heart
with those heavenly moments
on moonlit nights!

It would have been different...
If you had not enticed me
with your beseeching eyes
offering a spring time of togetherness!

It would have been different
if you had not awakened me
with the sweet words of Cupid's magic!

But now on the threshold of second innings...
A wish to know just how different it would have been...
