Your transparent metaphor meets my blue words
and becomes a mirrored seed of thought.
My words need a symbol for you screaming
as you emerge from your painful cage.
My words should be loved. Their crazy escapades
sometimes happen in a hurry. I can recognize it
while mixing hatred and pain. May my words bite
your lips with a loving kiss. My words need
the blood of your love. You must indulge in love
and lose your bearings. Your words are sometimes
the leaves that spread within me and carry away
the knowledge to change something - your very red,
orange, and yellow words that precede the white
silence of our winters. Your words can be ice cubs
sliding into my hot mouth and can kill my silence.
Between darkness and light, in our secret dawn,
you make me miss their sweet touch.
