Spring breeze turns on my sporty mood,
All books piled up and put aside.
Hark, wind curls leaves, O, it's so good,
Lo, all thrills, the joy I can't hide.
Birds sing in trees, here comes echo,
Some kids smiling broadly, how sweet.
Fresh grass reflects floating shadow,
Fair flowers as if a maze-fete.
Roaming far scholars on their way,
Roving elves are neighbors close by.
Though cause and effect has its say,
Illusions seem real yet I sigh.
I seek ways amongst dicey dales
For the Peach Blossoms Shangri-la.
As I come to the end of trails,
I eye the clouds drifting afar.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM

Spring breeze stirs my soul I put aside all books in piles And step out in the air Where my sweet darling Chi Wu Is basking sitting in the sun I pull my chair near her Stand behind her Cup my hands on her eyes And give her kisses On the neck and cheeks Two doves come flying coo-cooing and sit near her...
