Interior Duel
Your mind conceals and contradicts the truth
When your bonnie heart through your eyes does shine;
Trembling jocundly with expectation as a child,
But you, with stubbornness your heart decline.
What battlefield must be your depths!
What ferocious duel adjusting balance!
Conferring peace between your mind and heart,
Enough to bear another day with half a heart.
So cleverly a simple thought transformed into a sensitive poem.
