Into The Arms Of The Night - Poem by Angarag Sandilya

The serenades ringin' in your ears, all fade away,
The night silences it all, and nature stands still.
Behold, as it stages, a play that takes you,
Into the world of the unknown.
Like an insomniac wanderer, you tread out in the dark,
One step at a time, sans fear all the while.
No, the rapture ain't ephemeral,
You do cherish it for long, lilting every time it flashes back,
In your mind, feeling the redolent vibe.
As you pass by the woods,
The howls and prowls don't scare you anymore.
You feel the way, as if you've been there before.
The dulcet breeze crashes onto your face,
Whisperin' in your ear, 'Écoutez-moi! ',
And you imagine it humming a gospel.
You wish for the journey to never end,
But reality comes knocking by, when you open your eyes,
And find yourself embraced by the rays of the dawning sun...
