He seemed hazy and I was seemingly lost too
In ashes he was finding tinders and I was too
When you tell stories, tell them such that
Everyone asks what happened next and you too
Know that age brings with itself certain prizes -
You do not surprise the mirror! It is a prize too
Night came and changed the date to the next day
I dreamt a dream, not new, a dream of old days too
When I saw her in smiles thinking of someone
In my ignorance I thought that she was mine too.
(An added couplet)
'Ravi' is sharp, always clear in his thoughts
He knows when he smiles, she will smile back too.
