Iran: Ludicrous Charges Poem by Jalal Sunstrum

Iran: Ludicrous Charges

Rating: 5.0

As the Women's Revolution is sweeping the Nation
I'm sitting writing this poem
deeply reflective of what's to lie ahead...

The power in Iran will revert to the People.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I read about what's happening in Iran, the injustice that's being perpetuated there, and I decided to write about it.

I'm in total agreement with the wise observations of Poet Menon. And I'm a stout believer in freedom of speech. But even under a democracy, there is sometimes censorship. I was censored as far back as high school.

2. What we have in Iran now is religious autocracy, run by minions, in the holy name of God, but against His Will. Bound to fall, and it will. Good poem.

True! Power will be vested with the people ultimately, no doubt. And that is democracy, the oldest form of governance, where everyone has a say and every voice is heard.
