Isabella And Her Bundle Of Joy. Poem by Gerald Opio

Isabella And Her Bundle Of Joy.

Conceiving is not a walk in the park
Only the committed trek that path
With pride they ambulate
Majestically carrying their crown
Within their womb lies hope
Hope that instills strength
To hold on for 9 months
A period infested by forbearance
In anticipation of what is to come forth
And bring delight to the beholder
Isabella being her name
A baby as jolly as the mother
Will sprout to existence
When the time comes
To bring forth to the world
A child nurtured in the womb
By the invisible hands of God
Wonderfully and beautifully made
Having created its inmost being
Whenceforth knitting it together
For there shall be delight and dancing
As a new life is receipted
In the confines of Isabella's household
In her arms, she will hold her bundle of joy and happiness
For a new ray of hope emerges
In form of a baby
Ostensibly elating at the first cry
That will be perceived of a baby
Echoing through the corridors of the ward
Euphorically extrapolating hearts of many, who lie in waiting
Hence their anxious hearts will pacify, enjoined with tears of joy
Infiltrating mother's heart with an indelible feeling
That surpassest comprehension.
