Everyday
at night
in the kitchen
a little food
must be kept.
Suppose,
the thief was to come
if he's hungry
doesn't find food
He
might get angry
and cross
and get away
without thieving a thing.
Isn't that shameful for us?.
o the thief the hungry man through night dark needs some food for surviving without angry. beautiful poem 10+++
Wonderfully expressed. Beautiful humorous poem is amazingly shared.
Food for Thoughts is this poem. Irony and satire are weaved in this humorous poem. Anyhow this amazing poem is chosen as The Modern Poem Of The Day. CONGRATULATIONS, Ayyappa Sir. You deserve this Honour Today as the most! A very enjoyable poem and with such an entertaining mood. I have been to India and know a bit about the traditions there. That has helped me to understand this poem as it must be. Best wishes from SFC
There are so many things to ponder in this small poem. In Indian tradition we offer food to all guests who come visiting the house. Generally we keep a small amount of cooked food ready for any guest who may come to our house.Nothing left in the kitchen for the guest is shameful. It is a funny poem shedding light on one of the Indian way of life.
A poem depicting broad vision and humanitarian out look too while creating a humor. Well deserved classic poem of the day.
It's one of the poet's ways of ironical illustrations of the meaninglessness of some of our customary systems. It has a very lasting effect on human minds
Keep food in kitchen Though it's night..... If anyone dies for hungriness For the death you are liable Although the dead is thief or dog...cat... Yes it's shameful
