Whenever I heard of him, my heart went for him
When he came, it wasn't for me but to run his errands
Nobody asked me if they should retun home
How good it was when I returned home
I am unskilled among all those skilled ones
Just to stay for a moment I came to your home
The minaret was supposed to be as high as the sky
But it came tumbling down to the ground
I reached empty handed to his fun party
My rival reached there with all pomp and show

qarar dil ko sada jis ke nam se aaya
JAMAL EHSANI
qarār dil ko sadā jis ke naam se aayā
vo aayā bhī to kisī aur kaam se aayā
maiñ ḳhālī haath hī jā pahuñchā us kī mahfil meñ
mirā raqīb baḌe intizām se aayā
