Just a Thought-Covid-19
From whence it came
This unseen foe
That won't be tamed
With death to sow
Yet comes the morn
The sun will rise
With warmth adorn
All nature's prize
The flora bloomed
With sheer delight
Without the gloom
Of Mankind's plight
And worms will creep
Thru burrows made
As mortals weep
O'er farewells bade
In mating rites
Mayflies still dance
To scorn the blight
With arrogance
Yet birds will sing
To woo a mate
Whilst loud bells ring
A mourning date
Waters teeming
Where fish are found
But we're grieving
With death abound
As earth rejoiced
Each passing day
Anguished Man voiced
Their grim dismay
And we distressed
As Nature thrives
With fear possessed
While Earth revives
Can this in sooth
Be Nature's sign
A test forsooth
Perhaps divine
With less the ruth
To toe the line
A painful truth
To realign
